While they each are built with elegance and sophistication, they are also made for those who like to have fun. With fall right around the corner, now is the perfect time to plan a trip in your Land Rover to go beyond the pavement. It doesn’t matter if it’s a quick drive through the woods or a weekend camping trip in the mountains, these vehicles are built to perform on and off the road, so utilize it!

There are some amazing off-road trails in Arkansas that you can take advantage of while behind the wheel of a Land Rover. A couple of our favorites are The Ouachitas of Arkansas and the The Ozarks. Each of these mountain ranges are beautiful and special in their own way, and we are here to help you figure out which trip would be the best for you.

The Ouachitas of Arkansas

The Ouachitas of ArkansasAlthough it is one of the more historic and beautiful mountain ranges in America, it is one of the least known. The Ouachita Mountains span from Arkansas to Oklahoma, and are the tallest mountains between the Appalachians and the Rockies. There is great history surrounding this mountain range, as it was once inhabited by Native Americans, explorers, and brave souls who came to the Hot Springs to find cures for various diseases within these waters. Rising near Hot Springs, Arkansas, there are hundreds of miles of hiking trails, but also plenty of scenery to see while driving down Arkansas Highway 7.

The Scenic Byway 7 in Arkansas begins in the Ozarks and continues south for 290 miles. Drivers can take their Land Rover on this beautiful highway and drive past waterfalls, streams, mountains, valleys, rivers, historic sites, and much more. This wasn’t named one of the ten most beautiful drives in America for nothing! As mentioned, Scenic 7 begins in the Ozarks, which is our other favorite mountain Range in Arkansas.

The Ozarks, Arkansas

Scenic Byway 7 in ArkansasThis fall is the perfect time to take your beloved Land Rover on a road trip and immerse yourself in the crisp air of the mountains. When the leaves begin to change and the trees are a kaleidoscopic of warm colors, the Ozarks are the perfect place to be. This drive goes from the Eureka Springs to the Buffalo River, through Jasper, then back east to Mountain View.

This counterclockwise drive gives drivers a taste of the funky-hip town of Eureka Springs, the free-flowing Buffalo National River, and the old-timey town of Mountain View. On Saturday’s, live music fills the streets and you can forget about your troubles as banjos and fiddles are played under the moonlight.

There are many ways your Land Rover can be used, but not experiencing these mountain ranges would be a mistake. True beauty shines, and nothing is more majestic than the smell of fresh air and the changing of the leaves. Simply roll down the windows, open up the sunroof, and cruise.
